Neotiss suplied welded tubes in UNS06625 nickel alloy grade for a critical heat exchanger to be installed in Total La Mède’s refinery in France. This refinery is currently being transformed to manufacture Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) also known as renewable diesel. The site is adapted to meet the growing demand for biofuels and plays an active role in developing renewable energies. Once on stream, it will be France’s first biorefinery.

Thanks to its high level of expertise in the fields of welding and non destructive testing (NDT), Neotiss worked in partnership with Total to develop a competitive and highly qualitative welded solution as a substitute to seamless tubes. Neotiss benefits from 40 years of experience in welding tubes for critical nuclear applications and has always been a pioneer in NDT, whether Eddy Current, Ultrasonic or more recently Helium.

This project demonstrates, once again, the ability of Neotiss to accompany its customers to build cost effective solutions with optimal quality for critical and demanding applications.
